Dr. Amoussou-Guenou was admitted at the Paris Bar Association with a specialization in international law in 1991. In 1995 he received a Ph.D. in International Private Law with a specializaation in Arbitration Law, from University of Paris-II Pantheon Assas (France).
Dr. Roland Amoussou-Guenou serves as Faculty at the School of Management and School of Engineering and Technology of the Asian Institute of Technology. His specialization and field of interest are: Intellectual Property Law, Intellectual Capital and Knowledge Management, University-Industry relations, Public Private Partnership (PPP) Contracts, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, Construction Contract and legal risk management, Judicial Reforms, Leadership and Change management, Anti-corruption, Negotiation Strategy.
In 2002, he was assigned by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work as Legal Expert on Legal Cooperation in the ASEAN region. From 1992 to 2001 he worked as Senior Program Legal Counsel for the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).
Dr. Roland consulted for the World Bank, the UNESCAP, ECAP (EU-IP Program), UNITAR and the Organization for Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA). He is Co-founder and President of the Asia-Africa foundation established in 2009 to promote cooperation in higher education between Asia and Africa.
